Navajo Tea
Ingredients: Navajo Tea, also known as Cota or Grenthread
We are honored to have the chance to grow out this powerful Navajo Tea this season here at Sakari Farms.
Description: Has an earthy, mild flavor and can be enjoyed hot or iced. Navajo tea does not contain caffeine and can be enhanced with other herbs like cinnamon, spearmint, and pennyroyal. We like to add honey to our Navajo teacups.
Benefits: Navajo Tea has been used medicinally for centuries. People have been turning to the brew to alleviate joint pain, calm and relieve upset stomachs, and promote healthy kidney function. It has also been used to help treat urinary tract infections, inflammatory problems, and tooth pain (when used as a mouthwash).
Instructions: Steep 1 TBSP tea in 8 oz boiling water, cover for 5 minutes.
